The author, Apolinario B. Villalobos, hails from Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat. He has been writing poetry since he was in high school (Notre Dame of Tacurong Boys’ Department). During his last two years in college, he joined the Department of Social Welfare and Development during which he was exposed to the atrocities of Moro-Christian feuds. After graduating from Notre Dame of Tacurong College, he joined Philippine Airlines where he enjoyed the opportunity of traveling extensively around the Philippines as editor of the company’s TOPIC Magazine (published by Marketing and Sales-Philippines). As editor, he went around the country to gather information on touristic destination, festivals, resorts, and outdoor sports.

His first published book, “Beyond the Horizon”, which contains poems and essays is now being promoted and sold in the internet by Amazon and e-bay and other outlets, having converted it into e-book. It is also part of the reference materials on literary of the National Library of the Philippines, de la Salle University, and some private libraries.

He is currently involved in developing operations manuals of private institutions and business companies, editing manuscripts and translating them if necessary, writing biographies and personalized poems.
