The world becomes ghostly silent -

…without the chirps of the birds

…without the splash of the ocean waves

…without the undulating leaves caressed by the wind

…without the cry of the newborn baby wriggling in the crib

Can we let the eeriness of silence

be broken by the burst of guns

and explosion of bombs?

Can we let the eeriness of silence

be broken by screams and shouts

of those tangled in deadly bouts?
